Alfredo GAROFANO Notice
Garofano Alfredo (Fred) 09.01.1935 - 04.04.2020 At Collie District Hospital. Loving Husband to Pat for 59 years, proud father of Mandy (Martin), Cassandra (Saunders) and their partners Kevin and Rick. Much loved Grandad of Amber, Jade and Ashlyn (Martin), Charlize and Ben (Saunders) and Summer and Brax (Kelly). (Bis) Nonno of Sierra and Jett. Respected father-in-law and friend of Rodney. Brother of Jack (dec) and Anna. Tired and weary he made no fuss. He waited patiently for his Lord to call him home. With a sigh he left us all. Loving, protective husband of Pat for 59 years and never a dull moment. A man of simple pleasures - his much loved family, his faith, music, the bush. He was the same to all; kind, honest, considerate, hardworking and a gentleman. Never unkind or hurtful. Resting peacefully at last. Thank you to Dr Shankar and all at CRVM, Bunbury Regional, ValleyView Collie and Collie Hospital, and to Rodney, our right hand man. Dearly loved dad to Mandy and friend to Kevin. Dad always worked hard to provide for his family. I like to think I inherited his work ethic and integrity. We shared his love of music and football and I will miss our daily phone conversations that started with us singing "on the road again" and ending with "See you soon ah ha". It broke my heart to see you suffer and that we could not see you in the last few weeks, but I know that you are at peace now and until we meet again, shake those hips with Elvis and enjoy being in the forest in the sky. Grandad, my heart is breaking now you are gone but I can take comfort knowing your suffering has ended. I will cherish all the fond memories of the times we spent together. We didn't make it to Disneyland but one day I will get there for the both of us. Rest easily now, I love you. Love Amber (Antonietta #3). xx Thank you for 30 beautiful years with you. No more suffering or pain, just remember one thing, we are not apart, you're with me in my memories and in my broken heart. Rest peacefully, dancing with Elvis. Sierra will miss your tickle games, pull nos and soft spot. She will miss you giving her chocolate, jelly beans and veges from your garden. Ciao Nonno. Mia Bella #4 Jade, Liam, Sierra and Jett. xx Nonno, I am so grateful to have had 28 years with you in my life. The memories we have and the love that remains will forever be treasured. I miss you more every day, but I am so happy you are free of sickness and pain. Until we meet again, remember "te parle quando qualcuno te parlo" (speak when you are spoken to) and Riposare in Pace (Rest in Peace). Ti voglio bene ( I love you), Ashlyn. xoxo Dad, it was so hard seeing you suffer for so long and I'm so sorry we couldn't be with you at the end. I will treasure the last visit we had out in the sun. You never said much but you could always make me laugh. I hope you're having a beer with Elvis up there. All my love Cassandra. Footy, Collie Trots and Collie Mafia, some of our favourite topics. But our favourite mutual interest was your beautiful daughter Cassandra. Your parting words to me each time we're "look after her". I promise mate. I've got it covered. Rick. Visits to collie won't be the same. I will miss your jokes but the memories will stay with me always. Love Charlize. I'm going to miss you and your tickles grandad. I love you a lot. Love Ben. Grandpa Fred was the most kind, loving and funny person and I will miss him a lot. Love Summer. Grandpa Fred was a very nice person. Love Brax. Father of 2, Grandfather of 5, Great grandfather of 2 and father-in-law. But more special for me, my friend. One of nature's gentlemen. RIP my friend. Rodney.
